Prakash Patel has been appointed Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) & Privacy Officer at Baroda Global Shared Services Ltd.
Prior to this appointment, Patel served as AVP – IT Infra & Security at Brain Payroll, where he led the design, implementation and management of the Information Security Management System (ISMS), contributing to the global group’s ISO 27001:2022 certification.
During his tenure at Brain Payroll, he also oversaw internal security audits and coordinated with external certification bodies. He established enterprise risk management practices, including a Risk Register, Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and security playbooks aligned with ISO 27001 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
Patel also led privacy compliance for payroll operations, developing a framework aligned with the UK GDPR and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023. His responsibilities included ROPA governance, risk-based DPIAs, Data Subject Rights management, third-party data processing agreements and cross-border data transfer mechanisms.
Earlier, he worked as IT Manager at I-Serve Systems, overseeing IT policies, security, system audits, major technology projects, IT budgets and team leadership. He also held technical consulting and IT services roles at Elitser Technologies, Microlink Solution and Asian Media & Marketing Group.
With experience across information security, privacy, IT infrastructure, governance, compliance, risk management and IT operations, Patel brings a diverse technology and cybersecurity background to his new position.
