Quick Heal Technologies, through its enterprise brand Seqrite, has launched Seqrite NOVA Data Privacy, an AI-powered offering to help small and mid-sized businesses comply with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act.
The compliance gap
India’s digital economy is growing fast, and businesses face pressure to govern personal data properly. They must find personal data across scattered systems, respect the rights of Data Principals, and manage explicit consent. For smaller firms, limited budgets and thin IT teams make this hard. Growing mid-sized companies face a different problem: complexity.
Three packs, one idea
NOVA comes in three tiers: Lite, Essentials and Professional. It targets small office/home office (SOHO) setups, small and medium businesses (SMBs) and mid-enterprises. Companies can start with what they need and add more as they grow. The company says organizations can get started in days, with minimal manual effort and little reliance on specialist IT skills.
What the AI does
The platform uses AI to continuously discover and classify personal data across endpoints, cloud applications, databases and unstructured files. It can also read text inside scanned documents and images, helping teams spot sensitive information that needs protection and support DPDP compliance.
The DPDP Act requires privacy notices to be accessible in Indian languages. NOVA’s built-in translation engine converts consent experiences, privacy notices and cookie preference menus into all 22 officially recognized Indian languages. Human review controls remain in place to support compliance.
Core capabilities
- Endpoint visibility and data leakage prevention: show where sensitive files reside on devices and block accidental or unauthorized exposure.
- Consent and preference management: captures, tracks and manages customer consent and cookie choices.
- Data subject request workflows: automates requests for access, correction and erasure.
- Advanced privacy operations: supports privacy impact assessments and breach notification workflows to meet regulatory timelines.
What the company says
“Navigating India’s DPDP compliance shouldn’t be a complex, resource-heavy ordeal for growing businesses,” said Harish Kumar GS, Chief Executive Officer, Quick Heal Technologies. He said NOVA offers a tailored, AI-powered path to compliance with an investment matched to each business’s needs.
Why it matters
Compliance tools have mostly been built for large enterprises. By packaging privacy technology into defined tiers, Seqrite is betting that smaller businesses will adopt it earlier and at lower cost. Seqrite says it serves more than 30,000 enterprises across more than 70 countries, underscoring the gap it aims to address.
