Neelam Dhawan has been appointed as Chairperson of the Data Security Council of India (DSCI), effective April 1, 2026, marking a key leadership development in India’s cybersecurity and data protection landscape.
A seasoned industry leader, she currently serves on the boards of prominent organizations including Tech Mahindra, Hindustan Unilever, Fractal Analytics, and Capita. She is also the Chairperson of Ather Energy and Capillary Technologies.
With decades of leadership experience, including her tenure as Managing Director at Microsoft India and HP India, she brings strong expertise in business transformation, digital innovation, and enterprise growth.
She succeeds Promod Bhasin in this role and is expected to collaborate closely with industry and government stakeholders to strengthen India’s cybersecurity framework, enhance data privacy practices, and position the country as a global leader in cyber resilience.
