Eventus Security Calls for a Shift from Alert-Driven to Decision-Centric Security Operations

As Indian enterprises contend with expanding digital environments, fragmented security tools and a growing volume of alerts, Security Operations Centres (SOCs) must evolve from collecting and monitoring data to enabling faster, better-informed decisions, Eventus Security said at the CyBe AI Summit 2026, held at the NIMHANS Convention Centre in Bengaluru on September 4.

Participating as the AI SOC Partner, Eventus Security presented its approach to decision-centric, AI-driven security operations that bring together unified visibility, contextual intelligence, intelligent automation and human expertise.

During the session, “From Data to Decisions: Architecting an AI-driven SOC,” Shriram Prabakaran, Regional Sales Head – South India, and Malcolm Rafter Pinto, Technical Lead – R&D at Eventus Security, discussed how enterprises can use AI to reduce operational noise, identify meaningful threat patterns and help security teams prioritise incidents that require immediate attention.

“Modern SOCs do not have a shortage of data. The real challenge is converting that data into context and actionable decisions quickly enough to contain a threat. AI can help security teams correlate signals, prioritise risk and accelerate response, but its value is realised only when it works alongside experienced analysts, well-defined processes and appropriate human oversight,”said Shriram Prabakaran, Regional Sales Head – South India, Eventus Security.

The discussion highlighted the need for enterprises to look beyond adding more standalone security tools and focus instead on connecting data, workflows and response mechanisms across their security environments. This integrated approach can help reduce alert fatigue, improve investigation efficiency and give security teams greater confidence in their response decisions.

Eventus Security showcased how its integrated security operations approach combines threat detection, behavioural analytics, contextual threat intelligence and automated response workflows. The objective is to help security teams identify threats earlier, investigate them more efficiently and respond with greater speed and consistency.

Eventus Security emphasised that AI should augment security analysts rather than replace human judgement. Automation can accelerate correlation, investigation and response, while experienced professionals remain essential for interpreting business context and managing complex incidents.
