Anshuman Pund has taken on the role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at SBM Bank (India), where he will drive the bank’s enterprise information security agenda, cyber risk management, regulatory compliance, and security operations strategy.
In this capacity, Anshuman will focus on enhancing cyber resilience, strengthening security governance frameworks, overseeing SOC operations, and ensuring information security initiatives align with the bank’s digital evolution and business transformation objectives.
Before joining SBM Bank (India), Anshuman served as CISO at Suryoday Small Finance Bank, leading Infosec GRC, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity operations, risk management, vendor governance, and team leadership within a tightly regulated banking environment.
Earlier, he held senior cybersecurity and risk leadership roles at Tech Mahindra, National Payments Corporation of India, and IDBI Intech, contributing to architecture reviews, fintech and bank onboarding security assessments, CSOC operations, ISO compliance, and the execution of large-scale security programs.
Anshuman’s career also includes impactful tenures with AEGIS, National Institute for Smart Government, Reliance Tech Services, and Barco, providing him with broad, hands-on exposure across banking, payments, telecom, government, and enterprise IT security domains.
With deep expertise across information security governance, cyber risk, SOC operations, regulatory frameworks, vendor management, and large-scale security transformations, Anshuman Pund’s appointment further underscores SBM Bank (India)’s commitment to building a resilient, future-ready cybersecurity posture.
