Abhishek N. has taken on the role of Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Avendus, where he will steer the organization’s enterprise-wide information and cybersecurity agenda, enhancing cyber resilience across its diversified financial services portfolio.
In this position, Abhishek will oversee security governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, security operations, and technology risk, ensuring cybersecurity initiatives remain closely aligned with business growth and evolving regulatory requirements.
Before joining Avendus, Abhishek served as Head – Security Testing and SOC Operations at SBI Mutual Fund. His responsibilities included leading application and infrastructure security, SOC transformation, SIEM and SOAR automation, threat hunting, red team exercises, DPDP compliance, SEBI CSCRF implementation, and board-level security reporting. He was instrumental in driving DevSecOps adoption, data protection programs, cloud security initiatives, and zero-trust implementations.
Earlier in his career, Abhishek held senior information security roles at Tata Technologies and eClerx, where he managed enterprise ISMS programs, cloud security, risk and compliance, audits, and client-facing security governance. He began his professional journey with hands-on experience in network and infrastructure security at Asian Paints and Ericsson.
With extensive expertise across SOC operations, application and cloud security, GRC, regulatory compliance, and board-level cyber risk management, Abhishek N.’s appointment further reinforces Avendus’ focus on building strong, future-ready cybersecurity leadership.
