Akash Shukla has stepped into the role of Chief Manager – Information System at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). Bringing with him over 14 years of comprehensive experience in IT operations, digital transformation, and cybersecurity, he will now be spearheading BPCL’s information systems strategy from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Over the years, Akash has played a pivotal role in driving BPCL’s digital and cybersecurity agenda. His key achievements include the deployment of advanced Manufacturing Execution Systems (such as IP21, Oil Accounting & Planning), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), and robust cybersecurity infrastructures including IDS/IPS-enabled firewall protocols and SIEM platforms. He has also overseen the implementation of smart device integration, RPA, IoT, and plant-wide wireless networks.
In his earlier positions, Akash has consistently championed technology-driven solutions like remote monitoring via live streaming and AI-enhanced IT operations. His collaborative mindset and strong leadership have contributed significantly to aligning projects with BPCL’s broader digital strategy.
With his deep expertise spanning cloud security, IT-OT integration, application development, and project management, Akash is set to play a key role in advancing BPCL’s digital innovation and automation within the energy sector.
