Gajapathy Srinivasalu has assumed the dual responsibilities of Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Adani Total Private Limited.
In his expanded role, Srinivasalu will oversee IT strategy, infrastructure modernisation and digital transformation, while also leading cybersecurity across IT and OT environments. His responsibilities include cybersecurity governance and risk management, IT and OT security programmes, regulatory and security compliance, cyber resilience, incident preparedness and the continuous enhancement of the organisation’s security posture.
Srinivasalu has been associated with Adani Total Private Limited since October 2024, initially serving as Head of Information Technology. With over 23 years of experience, he brings expertise in IT strategy and planning, digital transformation, data analytics, cybersecurity, IT frameworks and technology-driven business initiatives.
Before joining Adani Total Private Limited, he served as Head of Information Technology at Adani Ports and SEZ. During his tenure, he modernised IT infrastructure, reducing system downtime by 40%, implemented cybersecurity measures that reduced data breaches by 50%, optimised cloud services and storage architecture, and deployed a SOHO model across 100 sites in India, achieving infrastructure cost savings of INR 15 crore.
Earlier, Srinivasalu was Head of Service Operations India at Colt Technology Services, where he led India’s service operations with P&L responsibility for data centre services. He also spent a decade at Schneider Electric India as Associate General Manager – IT Operations, Application and Service Management, overseeing IT operations across more than 40 countries in Europe and EMEA.
He began his career in technology and IT operations roles at Microsoft R&D India, iGATE Global Solutions and Convergys India Services, building extensive experience in infrastructure management, service operations and technology transformation.
