Sumeet Mishra steps into the role of Chief Information Security Officer at Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd

Sumeet Mishra has officially taken on the position of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd, marking a major milestone in his distinguished career in cybersecurity and information security management. After nearly six years of serving in various leadership capacities within the bank, he will now lead its security strategy, governance framework, and cyber defense initiatives.

With strong expertise in data privacy, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity operations, network security, and industry best practices, Sumeet has played a pivotal role in strengthening the bank’s overall security posture. His contributions include creating comprehensive security policies, enhancing cyber operations, supporting secure digital transformation, and ensuring compliance with RBI and CERT-In regulations.

Before his appointment as CISO, Sumeet served as Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, where he drove critical functions such as information security risk management, vulnerability assessments, secure SDLC practices, vendor governance, and organization-wide security awareness programs. He was also instrumental in preparing the bank for ISO 27001 certification and overseeing enterprise-level security evaluations.

Prior to joining Suryoday Small Finance Bank, Sumeet accumulated diverse experience across cybersecurity roles at Paladion Inc., SI Group, Wipro Infotech, 3i Infotech, and Euronet Services—building strong technical foundations in infrastructure security, threat analysis, antivirus administration, and IT support management.

With over 15 years of deep cybersecurity experience, Sumeet brings an exceptional blend of leadership, technical depth, and regulatory understanding—strengthening Suryoday’s cyber resilience as the bank continues its digital expansion.
