Acronis, a global leader in cybersecurity and data protection,
hosted its TRU Security Day 2025 in New Delhi, which brought together over 150 leading
voices from industry, government, and global cybersecurity alliances. The event highlighted
the company’s commitment to securing India’s data, supporting its digital transformation, and
voicing its broader mission to enhance global cyber resilience.
Held at the Radisson Blu Plaza, the event welcomed participants from across India’s cyber
ecosystem, including representatives from the Ministry of Electronics and Information
Technology (MeitY), CERT-In, state-level digital missions, and various technology leaders.
Among the distinguished panellists were Shri Prashant Kumar Mittal, Deputy Director
General at the National Informatics Centre (NIC), and Prof. Triveni Singh, renowned
cybersecurity expert and decorated law enforcement officer. They were joined by C-suite
executives from leading sectors such as telecom, BFSI, healthcare, manufacturing, and IT
services, who all contributed to rich, multi-stakeholder discussions throughout the day.

Speaking at the event, Prof. Triveni Singh emphasized the critical need for capacity
building and the continuous training of cybersecurity professionals to effectively leverage
cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions. “The need of the hour is structured and sustained
training, because no amount of advanced technology can compensate for a lack of skilled
personnel. Cybersecurity professionals aren’t made overnight; they require rigorous, hands-
on experience, analytical thinking, and a deep understanding of the ever-evolving threat
landscape to truly protect our digital infrastructure. Just as importantly, they must be well-
versed in regulatory frameworks to ensure compliance and uphold security standards across
sectors.”
Building on the point of relationship building, Shri Prashant Kumar Mittal emphasized the
importance of fostering strong public-private collaboration to strengthen India’s cybersecurity
infrastructure.“Addressing today’s cyber challenges requires more than just technical
solutions—it demands a unified effort. By bringing together the strengths of government
institutions and private sector innovation, we can create a robust and agile cybersecurity
ecosystem. Collaborative training initiatives, knowledge sharing, and joint frameworks will be
essential in building a talent pool that is not only technically proficient but also aligned with
national security and compliance priorities.”
The conference featured five keynote discussions and two panel sessions, offering
attendees cutting-edge threat intelligence, performance benchmarks of the region, and
practical frameworks to elevate cyber resilience across sectors. The keynote sessions
covered a range of mission-critical topics, including Performance and MSP Benchmarks for
India, Cyber Stats You Can Sell: Regional Threat Insights to Win Business, Corp Cloud
Strategy, The Future of Security Solutions: Innovation Roadmap, and Unlocking the
Microsoft Stack for MSP Growth. These sessions delivered actionable insights for managed
service providers (MSPs), enterprise CISOs, and policy professionals alike.
The first panel, Solving Compliance Challenges to Close Deals, explored the growing
importance of regulatory adherence in winning enterprise trust and accelerating digital
adoption. The second panel, Growing Your MSP: What Works, What Doesn’t, and Why,
featured candid reflections from industry veterans on scaling secure MSP operations in a
complex threat environment.
The event also highlighted Acronis’ Threat Research Unit (TRU), a global team of
cybersecurity researchers whose intelligence helped shape the day’s conversations of what
threats lie ahead by highlighting trends in ransomware, zero-day exploits, and advanced
persistent threats (APTs). The dialogue emphasized the need for proactive, intelligence-led
cyber protection to mitigate threats before they begin.
