In his new role, he will lead the organization’s cybersecurity strategy, strengthen security controls, modernize technology infrastructure, and enhance operational resilience across the Group’s financial services ecosystem.
Prior to joining A.K. Group, Ajit served as Associate Director at Standard Chartered Securities (India), where he managed critical IT infrastructure and led internal audit initiatives to support secure and efficient operations.
Earlier, he was AVP – Technology (Head IT) at Mirae Asset Capital Markets, overseeing technology strategy, infrastructure management, and security audit programs.
He also held senior technology and security leadership positions at SBICAP Securities and Reliance Securities, where he focused on IT governance, security audits, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience within highly regulated financial environments.
Before that, he worked with Accenture as Applications Team Lead, managing infrastructure technologies and operations while supporting large-scale enterprise initiatives.
Earlier in his career, he built a strong foundation in network engineering, systems administration, and technology operations through roles at Axis Securities, Standard Chartered Capital Markets, and Angel Broking. These experiences provided him with deep expertise in supporting high-availability environments and implementing robust security frameworks within the capital markets and financial services sector.
With more than two decades of experience spanning cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, internal audits, governance, compliance, and financial technology, Ajit brings extensive expertise in strengthening security postures, managing complex technology environments, and enabling secure business growth.
