Niva Bupa Health Insurance has appointed Amit Kumar as its new Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), signaling a significant step forward in its cybersecurity strategy. With nearly 20 years of comprehensive experience in cybersecurity operations, threat mitigation, and IT security governance, Amit will be instrumental in enhancing the organization’s digital security and resilience.
Before joining Niva Bupa, Amit held the position of AVP, Cybersecurity at Goods and Services Tax Network, where he spearheaded key cybersecurity initiatives for India’s national tax infrastructure. His tenure at Orange Business Services, spanning over a decade, showcases his expertise—rising from Senior Security Specialist to CyberSecurity Manager, and leading critical enterprise security programs and operational improvements.
Earlier in his career, Amit made significant contributions in roles such as IT Security Analyst at Ogilvy & Mather and Senior Customer Engineer at HCL Infosystems, building a strong base in user-focused security solutions. His solid track record in securing enterprise systems makes him a strategic asset to Niva Bupa’s leadership team.
