Animesh Kumar has joined BASIC Home Loan as Head of Information Security, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to robust cybersecurity, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
With over a decade of experience in information security, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), Animesh brings extensive expertise across BFSI, NBFC, fintech, and consumer-focused enterprises. In his new role, he will be responsible for shaping and executing the enterprise-wide information security strategy, overseeing cyber risk management, regulatory adherence, and resilience initiatives.
Before joining BASIC Home Loan, Animesh served as Chief Information Security Officer at UGRO Capital, where he led cybersecurity strategy, SOC operations, data privacy alignment, board-level reporting, and business continuity planning. He is also the founder of Raga Future Security, through which he has delivered comprehensive cybersecurity and privacy solutions.
Earlier in his career, Animesh held key roles at Jubilant FoodWorks, HCL Technologies, Biz2Credit, UnitedHealth Group, and Tata Consultancy Services. Across these roles, he built strong expertise in ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SOC 2, cloud security, third-party risk management, audits, and security awareness programs.
At BASIC Home Loan, Animesh is expected to play a critical role in advancing cyber maturity, protecting customer data, and enabling secure and compliant business growth within an increasingly regulated digital financial landscape.
