Cisco has announced the appointment of Sandeep Agarwal as Chief Technology Officer – Security, India & SAARC. With nearly two decades of leadership in cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management, Sandeep will drive Cisco’s security strategy and innovation across the region.
Sandeep brings a rich mix of global and regional experience, having held key leadership roles at Google Cloud, AWS, OakNorth, Max Life Insurance, Moody’s Analytics, PwC, and Cognizant. His expertise spans enterprise security architecture, cloud security, compliance frameworks, and building resilient cyber defense programs.
At Google Cloud, he served as Security Specialist for India, leading cloud security adoption and strengthening enterprise trust. Prior to that, he headed global security and compliance functions at OakNorth and served as CISO at both Max Life Insurance and Moody’s Analytics. Earlier in his career, he played pivotal roles at AWS in advancing public sector cloud security and worked across financial institutions, consulting, and defense technology.
With his proven track record in scaling security operations and enabling digital transformation securely, Sandeep is set to strengthen Cisco’s leadership in delivering next-generation cybersecurity solutions for enterprises across India and South Asia.
