Societe Generale Securities India, part of Societe Generale, has appointed Sunny Mathur as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
In this role, Sunny will drive the organization’s cybersecurity strategy, information security governance, risk management, and resilience initiatives. His focus will be on strengthening the protection of critical financial systems while ensuring regulatory alignment within a global banking environment.
Before joining Societe Generale Securities India, Sunny was associated with BSE India, where he led the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and GRC programs. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in regulatory compliance, internal and external audits, risk assessments, business continuity planning, and cybersecurity incident response across the exchange’s critical infrastructure.
Earlier in his career, Sunny held information security and governance roles at Hexaware Technologies, Allied Digital Services Limited, and eClerx Services Limited, building deep expertise across enterprise security services, ISO 27001 governance, compliance audits, and security operations.
With extensive experience spanning financial services, capital markets, and IT services, Sunny brings strong capabilities in application security, cybersecurity governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and enterprise resilience. His appointment underscores Societe Generale Securities India’s continued focus on strong information security leadership and secure digital operations in a highly regulated financial ecosystem.
